Mjaldur is also the Icelandic word for ​a Beluga Whale, our favourite animal.

Mjaldur Arctic is a small family-run enterprise! As ​lifelong residents of the Reykjavík area and passionate ​hikers, we couldn't help but notice that most travellers ​to Iceland venture far from the city to experience things ​that can easily be found right here in our own backyard. ​Our goal is to unveil this overlooked world to fellow ​travellers and introduce them to the wonders of our ​amazing area.
